A Paroissien is a liturgical book used in Catholic parishes, containing prayers, hymns, and texts for the daily Mass, as well as the prayers of the Divine Office. It helps guide the congregation and clergy in worship, especially for those following the traditional liturgy in the parish setting
This beautiful prayer book has silver and black embossed clasps with the silver work on the binding of the book done in the shape of fleur de lis. The edges are highly gilded with a secret hidden marble for-edge. The interior of the book has silk end papers, gilt dentelles, and every single page is bordered in a orangey-gold ornate design. The leather binding is a vey dark eggplant, almost appearing black.
